Bengaluru student stabbed to death by former partner

A 20-year-old pharmacy student in Bengaluru met a gruesome end at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, who allegedly ambushed her with a knife, inflicting severe slashes to her neck, face, and torso in a frenzied assault that left her bleeding out on the street.

The attack, unfolding in broad daylight near her college, has unleashed waves of anger across the city, with women's groups demanding stricter stalking laws and faster police response.

The accused, a local youth with a history of obsession, surrendered shortly after fleeing the scene, facing murder charges under IPC Section 302.
