Amaravati, October 15, 2025:
Andhra Pradesh IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh celebrated the state's industrial momentum with a cheeky social media jab at neighbouring regions, posting: "Folks call Andhra cuisine fiery. Turns out our deals pack the same heat some rivals are already sweating!" The remark landed shortly after Google revealed a $15 billion commitment over five years for an AI data centre in the state, its largest Indian venture to date.
The project teams up with Adani Group and Airtel to develop supporting infrastructure, including a fresh international subsea cable link. The timing underscores Andhra's aggressive push to attract tech giants, positioning it as a southern powerhouse.
