India rejects terrorism claims After Train Attack
X

India sharply criticized Pakistan on Friday, dismissing its claims of New Delhi’s involvement in terrorism after a deadly train attack in Balochistan. The attack, which killed 21 passengers earlier this week, led Pakistan to accuse India of “sponsoring terrorism” without offering any proof. India’s External Affairs Ministry fired back, saying Pakistan should stop pointing fingers and instead focus on its own problems. The ministry’s spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, didn’t mince words, hinting that everyone knows Pakistan is the real source of global terrorism.

The trouble started on Tuesday when separatist militants stormed a train in Pakistan’s Bolan region, sparking a hostage crisis that dragged on for over a day. Pakistan’s Foreign Office claimed the attackers were guided by planners in Afghanistan, urging Kabul to take action against groups like the Balochistan Liberation Army. But when asked why India wasn’t directly blamed this time, their spokesperson doubled down, insisting India was still behind such acts. It was a confusing twist, as Pakistan offered no evidence, only old accusations about India destabilizing the region.

India wasn’t having it. Jaiswal called Pakistan’s allegations baseless and urged the country to look at its own failures instead of shifting blame. He painted a picture of a nation dodging responsibility, suggesting Pakistan’s habit of accusing others was just a way to mask its internal struggles. The sharp exchange showed how deep the distrust runs between the two neighbors, with India framing Pakistan as a country unable to face its own reality.

This isn’t a new story—India and Pakistan have been trading barbs like this for years. The Balochistan attack only added fuel to the fire, giving Pakistan a chance to revive its narrative and India an opportunity to hit back. As the dust settles, the world watches, well aware of the long-standing rivalry that keeps these two nations at odds, with little sign of resolution on the horizon.
