The White House voiced confidence in the prospect of direct negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt revealing that President Donald Trump views such a step as within reach.
"The president would love it," Leavitt stated during a briefing, underscoring Trump's conviction that dialogue could yield results in the protracted conflict now in its fourth year. The remarks follow Trump's recent Gaza mediation success, positioning him as a potential peacemaker in Europe.
