Nadella's annual letter charts Microsoft's AI-fueled ascent

Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella outlined a year of robust progress in his FY25 annual letter, emphasising AI's transformative role across the tech landscape.

The company posted revenue of $281.7 billion, a 15% rise, and operating income of $128.5 billion, up 17%, driven by Azure's 29% growth and widespread adoption of tools like M365 Copilot.

LinkedIn expanded to 1.2 billion members, leveraging AI for enhanced networking and job matching, while Nadella's compensation climbed 22% to $96.5 million, reflecting the board's confidence in his strategy.

Nadella framed the outlook as "thinking in decades, executing in quarters," positioning Microsoft at the forefront of AI's generational shift to empower users and organisations worldwide.
