Lokesh pitches Andhra for Griffith's sports training centre

Andhra Pradesh IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh extended an invitation to Griffith University in Australia to establish a dedicated sports excellence centre in the state, highlighting opportunities for joint programs in athlete development and training.
The proposal emerged during Lokesh's meeting with University Vice President Marnie Watson in Sydney, part of a six-day tour aimed at fostering stronger educational and business links between the two nations.
Lokesh emphasised Andhra's growing infrastructure and focus on youth empowerment, positioning the state as an ideal partner for Griffith's renowned programs in sports science and coaching.
The initiative aligns with efforts to host the CII Partnership Summit 2025, aiming to attract global players in skill-building and innovation.
Griffith, known for its advanced facilities, could bring cutting-edge methods to nurture local talent in fields like cricket and athletics.
