Amaravati, March 27, 2026: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan welcomed the Centre’s swift decision to reduce special additional excise duty on petrol from ₹13 to ₹3 per litre and bring diesel duty down to zero from ₹10 per litre.

Naidu described the move as a timely, people-centric step that demonstrates strong leadership amid volatile international crude prices. He said India stands out by placing citizens first instead of passing on global burdens.

Pawan Kalyan called it a major relief for people and oil marketing companies, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for proactive action against geopolitical pressures, including the West Asia conflict.
