Amaravati, March 27, 2026: Khadi and Village Industries Commission chairman Manoj Kumar distributed toolkits to 430 artisans under the Gramodyog Vikas Yojana during the Atmanirbhar Bharat Utsav held at Government Junior College grounds in Anantapur.

The programme, organised by KVIC under the MSME Ministry, also included certificate distribution and focused on empowering rural craftspeople with modern equipment.

Manoj Kumar urged entrepreneurs and youth to join India’s growth story through self-reliance. He highlighted khadi as a symbol of national pride and noted strong sales growth in the sector.

Support for artisans includes training, marketing help, exhibitions, online platforms and financial aid via schemes like the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme. More beneficiaries will receive toolkits in coming phases as part of a wider national drive.
