Amaravati, March 25, 2026: Sri Sathya Sai district police launched construction of a new police station building in Lepakshi town on Wednesday. Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar performed the bhumi puja and led the ceremony. The project uses CSR funds from donor Balaji.

The building will feature modern amenities to boost efficiency and public access. An upper-floor circle office will serve Lepakshi and Chilamathur mandals, moving services from Hindupur nearer to people.

Officials say the step will deliver more effective, citizen-friendly policing in the region.
