Amaravati, March 25, 2026: An IndiGo aircraft (flight IGO4HJ) arrived at Vijayawada International Airport around 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday with 75 passengers and four crew members.

About 45 minutes after landing, the pilot informed air traffic control that a tyre had burst. The return flight to Hyderabad was cancelled immediately.

Airport officials said engineers are replacing the tyre with one being flown in from Bengaluru. Passengers were rebooked on other flights, and those who chose to cancel received full refunds.

Authorities noted that the exact timing and cause of the burst whether due to pressure, wear, or another factor are still under investigation by engineering teams. No issues were reported during the actual landing.
