Amaravati, March 25, 2026: The state government plans to adopt the resolution in the March 28 session and send it to the Centre for further action during the ongoing Parliament session.

Officials say the step will help amend relevant laws, including the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, to provide clear legal status for Amaravati as the capital from June 2024 onward.

This aligns state and central provisions to address past legal concerns and strengthen the city’s development as a modern administrative hub.
