Amaravati, March 24, 2026: SRM University-AP kicked off a three-day Quantum Computing Conclave and 36-hour national hackathon today at its Amaravati campus. Industry leaders from IBM Quantum, Amaravati Quantum Valley, and QRACE joined faculty and students to explore quantum research, hands-on workshops, and India's push for tech sovereignty.
Vice-Chancellor Ch Satish Kumar said Andhra Pradesh made a clear promise on quantum advancement, and SRM University-AP is proud to serve as the first academic partner of the Amaravati Quantum Valley project.
The university plans to build a mid-sized quantum computer and a diamond-based quantum computer on campus. Hackathon winners will receive internships, placements and startup support.
