Pushparchana draws crowds to kanaka durga temple

Fragrant floral tributes marked the sixth day of Vasantha Navaratri at the iconic Sri Kanaka Durga Temple atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada on Tuesday. Large numbers of devotees gathered for the special Pushparchana, seeking blessings amid a serene atmosphere of jasmine, lilies, and other blooms.

Amaravati, March 24, 2026: Devotees flocked to the Sri Kanaka Durga Temple on Indrakeeladri hill in Vijayawada as temple priests performed Pushparchana on the sixth day of Vasantha Navaratri.

The deity received elaborate adornments of jasmine, maruvam, chrysanthemum, lilies, and other sacred flowers, filling the shrine with soothing fragrance and visual splendour.

Officials noted that the floral decorations created a calm setting for prayer, with many visitors believing the ritual brings prosperity, happiness, and well-being.
