Amaravati, March 24, 2026: ArcelorMittal Executive Chairman Lakshmi Mittal said the state’s focus on transparency and speed of doing business has given industrialists a clear sense of trust.
He joined Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan at the groundbreaking ceremony for the ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India greenfield plant at Nakkapalli in Anakapalli district.
The integrated facility, planned in two phases with an initial ₹70,000 crore investment, will have a capacity of 17.8 million metric tonnes per annum. Officials expect it to generate one lakh direct and indirect jobs while supplying steel for domestic needs and exports.
