Amaravati, March 24, 2026:
Tirupati witnessed a grand Rathotsavam on the penultimate day of the nine-day Brahmotsavams at the Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple. After morning rituals, the idols were placed on the massive wooden chariot.
Devotees chanted “Rama Nama” while pulling it along the temple streets. Women offered Harathi at every step.
A bhajan troupe performed folk dances and Kolatam ahead of the procession. In the evening, Lord Rama graced devotees on the Aswa Vahanam. The festival concludes with Chakra Snanam on Wednesday at Kapila Theertham.
