Amaravati, March 24, 2026:
Hundreds of community health officers gathered in Vijayawada to press the state government for relief.

They work in over 10,000 village health clinics across Andhra Pradesh and handle outpatient care, field visits and mandatory digital records.

Officers report spending long hours on entries that eat into their day, plus confusion over roles with other health workers. Many also lost monthly incentives of up to ₹15,000 after the introduction of an evening face-recognition attendance system.
