Amaravati, March 24, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh government is upgrading 150 AYUSH centres to bring traditional medicine closer to people.

Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav said modernisation is under way at 90 existing centres while new facilities are coming up in 60 government hospitals.

Each centre receives around ₹50 lakh for better infrastructure. New centres are being built in districts including Eluru, Machilipatnam, Ongole, Chittoor, Kadapa, Kurnool and Nandyal.

These include dedicated rooms for doctors, pharmacies, reception areas and toilets. About half the work is done, with full completion expected in the next two months. Funds come from the National AYUSH Mission’s 2025-26 plan.
