Amaravati, March 23, 2026: The YSR Congress Party has stepped up its efforts to revive the stalled Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project, a key initiative aimed at securing long-term irrigation and drinking water for drought-prone Rayalaseema, Nellore, and Prakasam districts.

In a strategy meeting at the party central office in Tadepalli near Vijayawada, State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy reviewed progress with regional leaders and assigned former Minister Sake Sailajanath to coordinate statewide outreach.

District task forces will lead mobilisation through student, youth, and farmer wings, with review meetings every 10 days for the next two to three months.
