Newsroom, March 23, 2026: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), led by actor Vijay, has declared its full slate of candidates for the 30 Assembly segments in Puducherry.
The party will contest the upcoming elections solo, without alliances, signalling its push to expand beyond Tamil Nadu.
The list features a mix of new faces and defectors, including former AIADMK members like K.A.U. Asana (Karaikal South) and L. Periyasamy (Nettapakkam), plus A.K. Sai J. Saravanan Kumar (Thirubhuvanai), who recently left the BJP.
Two women candidates were fielded in Mangalam and Kadirkamam. Other nominees cover key areas such as Lawspet, Ozhukarai, and enclaves like Mahe and Yanam.
