Newsroom, March 22, 2026: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao today criticized the state's Musi River Rejuvenation Project, stating the party backs river cleanup but opposes the implementation that displaces residents unnecessarily and prioritizes real estate over true ecological restoration.

He emphasized transparency, public accountability, and standing with every affected family.

Adviser Sriram Vedire called for integrated efforts across the river's upper, middle, and lower stretches, drawing lessons from global successes like the Thames and Sabarmati, while suggesting limited real estate to fund parts without major evictions.
