Amaravati, March 21, 2026: The Indian Red Cross Society's Andhra Pradesh branch has launched 'Mee Intiki Mee Doctor' translating to "Your Doctor at Your Home" to deliver primary health care directly to underserved rural households.

Mobile Medical Units staffed with a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, and driver will visit villages, focusing on remote, tribal, SC/ST, and low-income areas across Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Nandyal, Palnadu, Tirupati, BR Ambedkar Konaseema, and West Godavari.

Funded by Rural Electrification Corporation Limited under CSR at Rs 8.40 crore over three years, each unit aims to serve around 100 people daily and 2,000 monthly beneficiaries per district.

The statewide effort targets 6 lakh people total, providing free consultations, medicines, and services to lower infant mortality, maternal deaths, communicable diseases, and boost immunization. District Collectors lead oversight committees for smooth rollout.
