Amaravati, March 19, 2026: Religious fervour filled the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala as Ugadi Asthanam unfolded on the Telugu New Year. Vedic scholars recited the panchanga sravanam to Lord Malayappa Swamy and Vishvaksena at the Bangaru Vakili.
The presiding deity and processional idols received new silk vastrams, followed by asthanam rituals, harati, and prasad distribution to devotees.
Tirumala pontiffs, TTD Executive Officer, board members, and senior officials joined the ceremony. The temple precincts glowed with elaborate flower arrangements and dioramas, creating a vibrant welcome for the new year.
