Amaravati, March 18, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh government rolled out the Divyaga Shakti scheme in Chittoor and Puttaparthi (Sri Sathya Sai district) on Wednesday, offering free rides on select APSRTC buses for persons with 40% or higher disability.

The initiative covers Palle Velugu, Ultra Palle Velugu, Express, City Ordinary, and Metro Express services, with concessional fares on premium routes.

In Puttaparthi, District Collector A. Shyam Prasad, MLA Palle Sindhura Reddy, and former Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy flagged off the service at the RTC bus stand, joining beneficiaries on board.

In Chittoor, In-Charge District Collector A. Rajendran inaugurated it alongside local officials.
