Vijayawada, March 17, 2026: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has unveiled a major structural overhaul to fuel faster growth across India.

The current setup of 11 kshetras and 46 prants will change to nine kshetras and 85 sambhags, effective March 2027.

In Andhra Pradesh, the state will form two distinct sambhags under the new model. The RSS runs 1,746 daily shakhas and over 3,058 activity centres here, part of its national network of more than 1.34 lakh centres.

Leaders say the reorganisation blends organisational growth with wider social outreach. It comes as the RSS nears its centenary and marks events like the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
