Amaravati, March 17, 2026: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a high-level review and stated there is no shortage of LPG in Andhra Pradesh.
The state maintains sufficient reserves about 14,000 metric tonnes in stock and another 24,000 metric tonnes at a Visakhapatnam facility to cover demand for the next 15 days, with more supplies incoming.
Public concerns arose from global tensions in West Asia affecting energy markets, leading to questions about cylinder availability. Naidu directed officials to monitor distribution daily via e-KYC and OTP systems to prevent diversion or black marketing.
He stressed priority supply to hospitals, hostels, and temples, and called for faster delivery timelines. Long-term steps include boosting induction stove access and expanding piped natural gas from the KG Basin.
