Amaravati, March 17, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh Upa Lokayukta has ordered the release of ₹50.24 lakh in Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) dues owed to outsourcing staff at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) in Srikakulam district.
The affected workers include cooks, attenders, accountants, watchmen, and sanitation personnel from 32 schools.
These contributions were deducted from their honorarium between June 2018 and January 2020 but never deposited into their accounts.
The directive follows complaints investigated by the Lokayukta, prompting authorities to pursue recovery from the responsible agencies and file criminal cases where needed.
