Amaravati, March 17, 2026: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) conducted the traditional Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam at Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala on Tuesday.

This four-hour rite, rooted in Vaikhanasa Agama scriptures, purifies the sanctum sanctorum, walls, ceilings, pillars, and sub-shrines using a sanctified blend of turmeric, sandalwood, camphor, saffron, and other fragrant, disinfectant ingredients.

The presiding deity was draped for protection while employees thoroughly cleansed the premises. TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, board members, and senior officials led the effort.
