Vijayawada, March 17, 2026: HRD Minister Nara Lokesh reaffirmed that generating 20 lakh jobs stands as the NDA government's core mission.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) office in Chinakakani near Mangalagiri, he stressed that mere MoUs are not enough investments must ground into actual projects to deliver employment.

Lokesh highlighted the state's strong investment pull, noting that Andhra Pradesh has drawn ₹25 out of every ₹100 invested nationally in recent months. Major global players like Google, ArcelorMittal, TCS, and Cognizant have committed to the state.

He criticized the prior administration for sidelining APEDB and shared insights from his Yuvagalam padayatra, where youth prioritised jobs over welfare schemes.
