Amaravati, March 17, 2026: An artist from Andhra Pradesh has compiled a comprehensive handbook spotlighting the state's rich and evolving art scene.
Yellapu Kalasagar, known as Sagar Babu or Kalasagar, spent five years traveling across Andhra Pradesh, rural areas, and cities like Chennai and Bangalore to document profiles of 300 artists 270 contemporary and 30 deceased.
The book, titled Art of Andhra Pradesh, includes contact directories and highlights figures from legends like Bapu to a 95-year-old folk artist from Nellore.
