Amaravati, March 17, 2026:
The Union government has recognised 99 distinctive products from Andhra Pradesh under its One District One Product (ODOP) initiative.
These span all 26 districts and aim to brand and promote signature items to support artisans, craftsmen, and local economies.
The announcement came during a Lok Sabha reply where Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada detailed the programme's focus on highlighting district-specific strengths.
In SPSR Nellore, for example, Paturu cotton and silk saris have generated ₹52.50 crore in business over five years, employing 2,850 people, while Udayagiri wooden artifacts also stand out.
