Amaravati, March 16, 2026:
YS Avinash Reddy, YSRCP MP and one of the accused, has raised concerns over the Central Bureau of Investigation's approach to the murder of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy.

The killing occurred in March 2019 at Vivekananda's home in Pulivendula, Kadapa district, sparking years of political and legal contention in Andhra Pradesh.

Avinash Reddy highlighted perceived shortcomings in evidence collection and probe direction, tying into family and political disputes.

This comes shortly after the Supreme Court declined to cancel his bail and noted the CBI's completion of investigation via a third supplementary chargesheet, with no new accused added. The victim's daughter has previously pushed for deeper inquiry.
