Amaravati, March 16: Indian Railways has approved the regularisation of four weekly special trains from Visakhapatnam as permanent express services.

This move shifts them from on-demand specials to fixed weekly schedules, ensuring more predictable travel options for passengers in Andhra Pradesh and beyond.

The trains include two Vizag-Tirupati services (Nos. 18507/18508 and 18505/18506), one to Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru (Nos. 18509/18510), and one to Charlapalli (No. 18527). These routes, previously run as specials like 08583/08584 and others, will now operate consistently on designated days with set timings.

The change strengthens links from Vizag to major pilgrimage, tech, and industrial hubs in South India.
