Amaravati, March 16, 2026: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will personally offer pattu vastrams (silk robes) to Lord Kodandarama Swamy and Sita on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh government at the historic Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Vontimitta, Kadapa district.
The offering forms a key part of the state-sponsored Sita Rama Kalyanam ceremony, set for April 1 as the highlight of the annual Srirama Navami Brahmotsavams running from March 26 to April 5.
Officials from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and the Kadapa district administration recently reviewed preparations in a coordination meeting.
Arrangements include enhanced security, parking, annaprasadam distribution, medical aid, bus services, sanitation, and special Telugu-style floral and electrical decorations to create an immersive cultural experience for devotees. Measures like water sprinkling aim to counter summer heat during the event.
