Amaravati, March 15, 2026: Courts across Andhra Pradesh, including the High Court in Vijayawada and benches in every district, settled 2,95,182 cases on March 14 in the year's first National Lok Adalat.
This included 2,86,414 pending matters and 8,589 pre-litigation disputes, handled by 400 benches statewide under the Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.
Settlements delivered ₹87.35 crore in compensation overall. At the High Court, 158 cases brought ₹3.36 crore in awards.
In Visakhapatnam's Debts Recovery Tribunal-2, 21 cases worth ₹21.15 crore were resolved. The effort cleared backlogs in civil, motor accident, cheque bounce, and other compoundable matters, easing pressure on the judiciary.
