Amaravati, March 14, 2026:
The scientific restoration of Alipiri Padalamandapam the ancient resting spot at the base of the Alipiri footpath to Tirumala has entered a vital phase.

Soil samples from the site now head to NIT Warangal for detailed geotechnical tests on strength, composition, and load-bearing capacity. Experts will use results to design a stable, long-lasting foundation.

The mandapam, dating back centuries and tied to Vijayanagara architecture, was carefully dismantled months ago.

ASI supervises the work, funded by the Lord Venkateswara Religious Charitable Trust from Pune. Every step follows strict heritage rules, with constant monitoring to protect original features.
