Kakinada, March 14, 2026: Additional Director General Sunitha Bhaskar of the National Statistics Office (Field Operations Division) formally opened the sub-regional office building in Kakinada today.
The event featured traditional Kuchipudi performances by local artists, highlighting cultural integration alongside administrative progress.
Construction on the facility began in 2009, making today's inauguration a long-awaited milestone for data collection and field operations in the region.
Officials noted this as the first owned building for the division in South India, strengthening the NSO's infrastructure footprint.
Attendees included senior retired and serving officers from the organization, along with local statistics officials from Kakinada.
