Amaravati, March 14, 2026: Former Finance Minister and YSRCP leader Buggana Rajendranath Reddy charged the Andhra Pradesh government with attempting to minimize serious concerns about the state's fiscal health.

Speaking to media in Hyderabad, he responded to recent points raised by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, asserting that budget numbers reveal clear mismatches between announced allocations and actual needs for key welfare programs.

Buggana pointed to loans exceeding ₹3 lakh crore, arguing they do not align with the scale required for the Super Six guarantees.

He noted sharp cuts in beneficiary numbers for initiatives like Thalliki Vandanam, old-age pensions, and Annadatha Sukhibhava, which he said expose gaps in implementation. He stressed that promised women's empowerment measures from the election campaign remain undelivered.
