Vijayawada, March 14, 2026: Commercial LPG shortages, driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, have disrupted hotel and restaurant operations across Andhra Pradesh.

In Vijayawada and key tourism hubs like Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Araku, many establishments now rely on firewood or limited cooking as cylinder refills stall.

Hotel associations met Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, who advised star hotels to cut dish varieties often up to 45 items daily and consider alternate-day openings where different groups operate on rotating schedules.
