Vizag, March 13, 2026: Andhra Pradesh IT Secretary Katamaneni Bhaskar has called for a comprehensive master plan to develop IT parks and supporting infrastructure across the Visakhapatnam Economic Region (VER).
In a recent review meeting at the Visakhapatnam Collectorate with officials from VMRDA, GVMC, and consultants, Bhaskar stressed expanding existing IT clusters while identifying fresh sites for parks, data centres, and Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
He highlighted the need for better roads, commercial areas, entertainment, and social facilities to attract major IT firms and drive economic momentum in the port city. Departments must submit the master plan within 60 days for swift implementation.
