Amaravati, March 13, 2026: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today highlighted the state government's drive to modernise agriculture and raise farmers' earnings through technology and welfare support.

Speaking at the PM Kisan-Annadata Sukhibhava event in Surampalli near Vijayawada, he announced the third instalment of financial aid: ₹6,000 credited to each of 46.85 lakh farmers' accounts, with the state contributing ₹1,874 crore toward the total ₹2,670 crore payout.

Naidu outlined key steps including drone-based seed sowing, drip irrigation for vegetables, subsidies for farm equipment to thousands of farmers, and widespread soil testing.

He pointed to strong water reserves at 65% capacity for upcoming seasons, ongoing canal improvements, and completion of projects like Polavaram to secure irrigation.
