Amaravati, March 13, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGENCO), along with Andhra Pradesh Power Development Company Limited, set a historic benchmark by producing 6,160 MW of power on March 11, with 5,730 MW delivered ex-bus.

Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar credited the milestone to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's leadership, round-the-clock efforts by engineers and teams, and coordinated operations across utilities.

This peak generation comes as the state gears up for rising summer demand, potential El NiƱo effects, and growing needs from homes, industries, and businesses.

The minister directed utilities to track trends closely and maximize output for uninterrupted supply.
