Amaravati, March 13, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has greenlit ₹9,355 crore in administrative approval for seven Multi-Village Schemes (MVS).

These projects focus on rural drinking water supply, ensuring 55 litres per person daily for more than 65 lakh residents spread across 76 mandals in water-stressed areas.

Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy announced the decision, highlighting its role in long-term water security under initiatives like Jal Jeevan Mission.

The move complements other recent water projects and addresses scarcity in multiple regions statewide.
