Amaravati, March 12, 2026: A delegation from the U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad visited Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) in Tirupati on Thursday.

They assessed progress in an ongoing English Language Fellow initiative that places American expert Angela Susan Bakula at the women's university since August 2025.

Bakula leads workshops on communication, academic writing, and related skills to better prepare students for the job market.

Consulate officials Shweta Khanna and Nausheen Ali met university leaders, including Vice-Chancellor V. Uma, to appreciate the program's impact and cultural exchange. SPMVV officials thanked U.S. partners for supporting Andhra Pradesh students' global readiness.
