Amaravati, March 13, 2026: Nellore hosted a vibrant kidney awareness rally on World Kidney Day, drawing about 300 medical professionals, students, and residents.
The event, led by Narayana Medical College and Hospital, started at Sarvodaya College Grounds and ended at VRC Grounds.
Nellore Municipal Corporation Commissioner Y.O. Nandan flagged it off and stressed that kidneys rank among the body's most vital organs.
He called regular health check-ups essential for kidney maintenance, noting early diagnosis and treatment can avert serious complications. He urged people to access free screening tests offered by the hospital.
