Amaravati, March 13, 2026: Hotel and restaurant owners across Andhra Pradesh face mounting pressure from a shortage of commercial LPG cylinders, triggered by geopolitical tensions in West Asia disrupting global supplies.

Associations have formed a Joint Action Committee and announced conservation steps, including weekly Monday closures for many eateries to stretch limited stocks.

Star hotels may halt online orders via apps like Zomato and Swiggy, while some smaller outlets in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam have already shut temporarily or switched to firewood cooking.
