Vijayawada, March 06: Former chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) Ajay Reddy has approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court to challenge the closure report filed by the state Crime Investigation Department (CID) in the alleged skill development scam case.

The case, registered during the YSRCP government, targeted former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and others over purported misuse of funds in skill training initiatives.

Reddy argues the CID submitted the closure without notifying him, despite his position as complainant in the original FIR. He also seeks to overturn a Vijayawada ACB court's dismissal of his earlier plea for notice.

Senior counsel represented Reddy, while CID's legal team opposed the petition. The high court has adjourned the hearing to March 12. This development comes months after a Vijayawada court accepted the CID's closure in January 2026, citing a "mistake of fact" and clearing Naidu of involvement.
