Amaravati, March 06, 2026: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) authorities are reviewing a birthday celebration involving a cake at the Sri Padmavathi Guest House in Tirumala, where cakes remain strictly banned to uphold the site's sacred nature.

The incident occurred when a group, including former MLC Duvvada Srinivas, his companion Divvela Madhuri, and Bigg Boss participant Thanuja, reportedly brought a 2.5 kg cake without permission and conducted a "cake smash" for a child's birthday.

Photos and videos shared on social media drew criticism for treating the holy hills as a casual backdrop.

TTD officials stress that such acts disregard Tirumala's sanctity, where even local families avoid cakes for celebrations, and privileges like discretionary quota stays cannot justify non-devotional activities.

The Vigilance wing is considering legal steps and possible restrictions on future access under similar quotas.
