Amaravati, March 05, 2026: Andhra Pradesh's Women and Child Welfare Minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani told the Legislative Assembly that the government has resolved nine out of ten demands submitted by anganwadi workers soon after taking office.

She highlighted steps like salary increases, provision of 5G smartphones to over 58,000 staff for better monitoring, approval of 15 days summer leave, and infrastructure upgrades including new buildings and facilities.

The minister noted significant progress in anganwadi operations, with attendance rising to 96% and real-time child growth tracking via mobile apps.

A ₹20 crore allocation in the 2025 budget addressed long-pending issues, while ongoing construction targets better premises for thousands of centres serving children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers statewide.
