BSNL activates 6,132 4G sites statewide

BSNL has rolled out 6,132 4G sites across Andhra Pradesh, boosting high-speed internet in remote areas and growing its user base sharply.

Amaravati, March 06, 2026: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has commissioned 6,132 4G sites throughout Andhra Pradesh, delivering faster mobile data and voice services to subscribers.

Of these, 1,325 sites target 2,641 previously uncovered remote villages under a dedicated saturation project, with 903 more sites set to connect another 1,300 villages soon.

The 4G customer base jumped from 5 lakh to 17 lakh, daily data usage rose from 184 TB to 410 TB, and voice call traffic increased fourfold. In areas like undivided Chittoor district, ongoing work includes 57 additional sites.
