Amaravati, March 5, 2026: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan announced in the Legislative Assembly that upcoming Zilla Parishad elections will proceed based on Andhra Pradesh's reorganized districts, aligning ZPs with current boundaries through Gram Panchayat redistribution.

No legal hurdles exist for this shift, he stated, underscoring the government's drive to empower local bodies for greater self-reliance since taking office in mid-2024.
